Central Applications Office (SPU) is the national centre for application to study programmes, i.e. higher education institutions in the Republic of Croatia.
Following the adoption of Act on Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education, SPU was established at the Agency for Science and Higher Education in May 2009, with a task of centralising all activities related to applications to study programmes and requirements for enrolment to higher education institutions.

The system can be accessed via web address www.postani-student.hr which has been active from 2 June 2009.
The Central Applications Office is a member of the International Association of Admissions Organizations (IAA). IAAO was founded in 2008 and the following countries are its members: the United Kindom, Oman, Australia, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Croatia. The IAAO goal is to exchange information among the member countries regarding the central application of study programs.
